Cedar Planked Salmon with Mustard Sauce

Cedar planks

Salmon fillet, skin on
4-170 g (6 oz)
Fresh lemon, cut in half

Mustard Sauce:
Sour cream
80 ml (1/3 cup)
Lemon juice
30 ml (2 tbsp)
Grainy mustard
30 ml (2tbsp)
Smooth Dijon mustard
15 ml (1 tbsp)
Maple syrup
15 ml (1 tbsp)
Tabasco sauce
1 �" 3 ml (1/4 �" ½ tsp)
Instructions
- Soak the cedar planks in water for ½ hour.
- Rub the cut lemons over the salmon fillets and set aside.
- Mustard sauce: Whisk together all the ingredients until smooth. Set aside.
- When the grill is hot, place the cedar planks on the grill and burn 1 side slightly. Turn burnt side up and place 1 salmon fillet, skin side down, on each plank. Cover the grill and cook until almost done, approximately 20 minutes, depending on thickness of salmon. If desired, 1 minute before the salmon is cooked, brush the fillets with the mustard sauce. Serve the salmon and pass the sauce.
